So, I want to make audio recordings with my phone. Specifically recording music from a guitar amp. Our phones have native USB audio support. I am able to connect a USB condenser microphone directly to the phone using a USB to OTG cable.
The catch is that a condenser microphone requires phantom power and I don't know what kind of power output the phone has. The phone does generate enough power to power the lights on the microphone. It appears to be working , but the sound quality for anything I record is terrible. Does anyone know anything about a set-up like this? I can't be the only person who has tried this.... Would love to get this working properly.
Here is the microphone I am using http://http://www.amazon.com/CAD-U37-Condenser-Recording-Microphone/dp/B001AIQGUO?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui _detailpage_o05_s00
