I have an MTK6580 phone and MTKdroid tools does not work on this chipset so cannot install any custom recovery, have made a CWM nand backup with onandroid online backup, all seems good and have it saved to SD and PC. I want to try and port a recovery to my phone but want to know if I can somehow 'convert' my nandroid backup to one that SP flashtools will recognise and flash?
I have a full stock SP rom to flash if it all goes wrong, so I wont brick it, just would rather be able to flash my current rom thats all sorted out by me already. I 'assume' I can just replace certain files/images from backup to stock? Would that work???
Alternatively, if anyone knows a better way to backup and restore the full phone, not just apps which Ive also backed up in TiBa that would be great, or if anyone knows how to get a recovery onto this phone... uhappy u580
Thanks.
