EDIT: The problem is no more. before I wrote this message I tried to hold the power button for a long time but it didnt help.
after, i tried it 2 more times. on the second time the device has shut itself down and rebooted. I don't delete this post in case some other noob would make a similar idiotic mistake.

I was following this instruction: http://ift.tt/28ROfJH for setting up custom recovery.
At the initial stages ( https://youtu.be/RIqmpnhh1Hs?t=13m18s) when you summon the stock recovery, I pressed the "recover to bootloader" which showed me a black screen with the writing "FASTBOOT mode" on the side. I then offhandedly disconnected the device from the USB.
now when I connect it back to my windows pc it doesn't recognize the device.
anyway, at the moment it is stuck in black screen with the writing fastboot mode and I'm afraid in a few hours it will run out of power.
